Mitsubishi Diamana W-Series Golf Shaft Review

    I. Who is the Mitsubishi Diamana W-Series Golf Shaft For:

This tour-proven ultra low-launching low-spinning golf shaft is for the beast of a player looking for a first-in-class product built on a platform that has stood the test of time! The Mitsubishi Diamana W-Series is the 3rd generation of the commonly known Diamana White Board, which rose to cult following after Tiger Woods played it in his driver for several years! Utilizing what is known as “pitch-fibers,” this version of the White Board was designed with maximum stability in mind. Players with faster tempos, late releases, moderate swing speeds, desiring an ultra low-launching bend profile, low spin rates, wanting a penetrating trajectory will benefit from this monster of a golf shaft! The Mitsubishi Diamana W-Series has fit phenomenally into a number of PGA Tour, NCAA, and competitive golfers looking for a super low-launching bend profile and tight responsive feel!

II. What Do I Need to Know About the Mitsubishi Diamana W-Series Golf Shaft:

One of the lowest, if not the lowest-launching low spin driver shafts we’ve tested! The Mitsubishi Diamana W-Series is built on one of the most successful golf shaft profiles ever produced: the Diamana White Board. In its day, the White Board was known for being ultra smooth, yet tight and stable through impact, all while and lowering launch and killing spin. It was the first golf shaft to use 40-ton modulus graphite, miles ahead of its competition! The 2nd generation, known as the Ahina had the same bend profile, however, had a slightly lower torque rating, for tighter feeling, and slightly lighter weight for more speed. The 3rd generation W-series integrated an even stronger modulus graphite, called Pitch Fiber, made in-house by Mitsubishi, which strengthened the shaft even further and added stability that the 2nd generation was missing. Many players have reported going down a weight class from previous versions of the W-Series, while increasing stability.

The overarching theme of this golf shaft is one of peak performance integrated into a tour-proven premium level design. What is great about the Diamana W-Series is that it is offered in a full gamete of weight options making it a strong candidate for those wanting consistency through their fairway woods and driver. It also pairs well with the B-series for those who want a slightly higher 3- and 5-wood. This shaft has been seen in the bags of PGA tour players like Danny Willet, Graeme McDowell, Brooks Koepka, and many more!

Player Profile: Tempo: fast, Transition: aggressive, Release: late, Swing Speed: fast, Trajectory: ultra low, Spin: low.
