Project X HZRDUS T1100 Golf Shaft Review

    I. Who is the Project X HZRDUS T1100 Golf Shaft For:

Designed for the highest performance demands of PGA tour pros, the Project X HZRDUS T1100 has met and exceeded its mission to be the most popular golf shaft release in 2017! Probably one of the most perfect combinations of smooth stability in an ultra low-launch low-spin profile seen to date! Basically for the competitive golfer looking to experience the best in a low-launching low-spinning golf shaft!  Players with moderate tempos, late releases, moderate swing speeds, desiring an ultra low-launching bend profile, and low spin rates will benefit from this shaft! The Project X HZRDUS T1100 has made its way into a number of PGA Tour, NCAA, and competitive golfer’s bags. This is the Ferrari of golf shafts, hands down!

II. What Do I Need to Know About the Project X HZRDUS T1100 Golf Shaft:

The ultimate in feel and performance, the Project X HZRDUS T1100 is challenged by no other shaft on the market today! Made from premium 90-ton graphite, the highest modulus graphite available, resulting in the best in energy return, stability, launch, and spin! Hand Crafted in the United States, Project X has upped its game with the HZRDUS flagship family offering. To keep things easy, Project X has delivered a HZRDUS Black for low launch, the Yellow for Mid launch, and Red for high launch, and then of coarse the premium tour-level performance of the ultra low-launch, low spin HZRDUS T1100. When compared to other golf shafts with similar design, golfers will notice a softer handle, and a ultra responsive and impressive smoothness through the majority of the shaft, and a slight counter balance that allows you to increase playing length and/or pair it with a low-spinning head.

Player Profile: Tempo: moderate, Transition: aggressive, Release: late, Swing Speed: moderate, Trajectory: ultra low, Spin: low.

IV. Additional Information About the Project X HZRDUS T1100 Golf Shaft:

This golf shaft is first in class! Made with ultra premium 90-ton modulus graphite, it is not uncommon for players to go down a flex-rating. Also, don’t confuse the T1100 with the stock T800 shaft offered in many drivers off the shelf. These are two totally different animals and worlds apart!

    General Swing Speed Recommendation: 5.5 (Regular) flex: 90-99mph, 6.0 (Stiff) flex: 100-110mph, 6.5 (X-stiff) flex: 110+mph.

    V. Summary:

Perfectly designed for the serious player who needs to kill spin and lower their launch. The HZRDUS T1100 provides nothing but the best in feel and performance, and sets the standard for which all others are compared to!

    1. Boardy

This shaft felt really boardy even compared to the Hulk shaft. The launch angle and spin rates were exactly as described though. on 31st Jul 2019

    2. tense ck pro driver shaft

I recently demo'd and then bought both the Tensei ck pro driver shaft and the TaylorMade M1 driver head. It is a tremendous advantage to be able to take the components of your choice out to the golf course to compare with current equipment. I believe the model Phil is developing will be the future of how golfers will purchase equipment. Phil was very helpful with produce knowledge. I look forward to working with Phil again in the future. on 28th Jul 2018

    3. Hzdrus T1100 - Sweet Shaft

I tried multiple shafts for my G400 LST head, and found the T1100, 65 gm, 6.0 was the best match for me with feel, consistency, and overall performance. The shaft is so well balanced that it feels like your swinging a much lighter shaft that others. The stability at impact was the best of all those I tried, and yet didn't feel harsh.

      Other Shafts I tried:
      AD - BB 60 gm - Stiff
      AD - BB 60 gm - XStiff
      AD - M9003 60 gm - Stiff
Oban Devotion 60 gm - Stiff
      Fubuki J 60 gm - XStiff

I'm a single digit handicapper, and can be a bit "handsie" with a swing speed of 103-106. The T1100 keep me in check with spin; although I couldn't get on a monitor, I compared it with the Fubuki J on course, and they performed very similarly with regards to ballooning / ball flight. I was able to get on a monitor with the Fubuki, and averaged between 2000 - 2600. The Fubuki had a slightly lower trajectory and may have run out slightly more, but the overall consistency of fairways hit and feel were definitely in the T1100 corner.
I ordered this shaft based upon weeks of shaft trials and because the T1100 was just more consistent and felt the best.
